About me
A black veil has many layers to its meaning. The veil itself can be symbolic of the known and the unknown, the self and others, the seen and the unseen, and the mortal and the divine.
My Cargo site is currently a stop-gap until my actual website has been reworked from the ground up.

Hello! I’m Maya. I was born and raised in Maryland, in the
suburbs of DC. Growing up, I loved hearing myths, folktales, and
fairy-tales, which later became my inspiration for much of my printmaking work. I received my BFA in
printmaking from the Maryland Institute College of Art.
